B'nai Mitzvah Dad
From David:"Mickey did an amazing job with my child's B'nai Mitzvah. He did more than just show up and shoot some beautiful photos. He made sure my kid was comfortable with the camera and with him. He definitely captured more than my child's image. He captured their personality. As far as the event goes, he definitely made a point of capturing the narrative of the event, rather than simply taking a few photos which were indicative of the event happening. Personally, I ascribe the development of a context to his experience as a photojournalist and Combat Cameraman in the U.S. Navy. Mickey's sense of artistry and his professionalism went so far as to capture more than the essence of the events and the narrative. He also captured the essence of some of the relationships between people at the event. Overall, I can't say enough positive things about my experience with Mickey. My oldest wants him to shoot her headshots and also suggested he cover all of our life cycle events. I can honestly say I'm not going to disagree with that assessment."
Shooting for this family has become a habit. Ha. I photographed the younger daughter in the studio to get used to each other before the big day. I had a great time and was blessed that she let me capture some fun images that she likes. The parents liked them too, so that was a bonus to the day.
It was lovely to receive an email and call form, David. His youngest is about to come of age and when we can schedule it he is looking forward to another life event documented by me. That was nice to here.
